BUILT IN 1843 AND DESIGNED BY CHARLES KIRK, THIS HISTORIC COURTHOUSE HAS SERVED JUSTICE FOR OVER 150 YEARS, BEFORE BEING BOUGHT PRIVATELY BY THE SNEATH FAMILY IN 2016 FROM HER MAJESTY'S COURTS AND TRIBUNALS SERVICE. CONSTRUCTED IN A TIME OF PROSPERITY FOR THE TOWN OF SPALDING, THE GOTHIC CASTLE STYLE OF THE SESSIONS HOUSE HAD NO EXPENSE SPARED IN ITS ARCHITECTURE AND FIXTURES. MANY OF THE ORIGINAL FEATURES REMAIN, AND THE BUILDING IS STEEPED IN HISTORY. EVEN THE BLACKOUT BLINDS USED IN THE SECOND WORLD WAR CAN BE FOUND TUCKED AWAY IN THE NORTH TOWER.
